Privacy policy
This site collects almost nothing. What it does collect is what you type into the contact form, and it goes straight to our inbox — not to a database, not to a mailing list, and not to anybody else.
Who we are
ScanScanScan3D
ScanScanScan3D sells Artec 3D scanners and provides mobile 3D scanning services in Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold: sales@scanscanscan3d.com or 1-289-300-SCAN (7226).
What we collect
Only what you send us
There is one place on this site where you can give us information: the contact form. It asks for your name, your email address, and a description of your project. Those three are required. Everything else on the form is optional — company, phone number, location, the best time to reach you, the type of enquiry, what outputs you need, the size of the object or site, your timeline, how you heard about us, and anything else you want to add.
Fill in as little of it as you like. The three required fields are the minimum we need to reply usefully.
Separately, our host records ordinary server logs when anyone visits — the page requested, the time, the browser, and the IP address the request came from. That is how any web server works, and we use it only to keep the site up and to see that it is not being attacked.
What we do not do
No advertising, no profiling, no selling
No advertising
We do not run ads on this site, we do not buy ads against your visit, and nothing here feeds an advertising network.
No profiling
We do not build a profile of you, follow you to other websites, or try to work out who an individual visitor is.
No selling
We have never sold personal information and we are not going to. It is not part of how this business makes money.
As this page is written, on 28 October 2026, the site sets no cookies and loads nothing from any other company — not even the fonts, which are served from our own domain. If we add website analytics later, we will update this page to say what it collects before it goes live.
What we do with it
Answer you, and quote the work
What you send through the form is emailed to our sales inbox and nowhere else. It is not written to a database, not added to a marketing list, and not used to send you anything you did not ask for.
We use it to reply to you, to understand the job, to quote it, and to carry it out if you go ahead. If your enquiry becomes a project, the correspondence becomes part of our records for that project.
We do not sell your information. To anyone. Ever.
Who else sees it
Our suppliers, and nobody else
Two companies handle your information on our behalf, because they run the infrastructure this business uses:
Cloudflare
Hosts this website and delivers the form submission to us as an email. Cloudflare operates a global network, so a request may be served or relayed from outside Canada.
Microsoft 365
Runs our email. Once your enquiry arrives it sits in our mailbox the same way any other business email does.
That is the list
Nobody else receives it. We would only disclose it if the law required us to, and we would tell you unless we were prohibited from doing so.
How long
As long as it is useful, and no longer
Enquiries that do not become work are kept as ordinary correspondence and deleted when they are plainly stale. Records of work we actually did are kept for as long as Canadian business and tax rules require.
If you would rather we deleted something sooner, ask and we will.
Your rights
What you can ask us for
Under Canadian privacy law — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act — you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw your consent to our using it. Email us and we will deal with it; we will not charge you for it and we will not make it difficult.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy question, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes
If this policy changes
We will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects information you have already sent us, we will tell you directly.
